CFATS SSP Workshops Announced for July

Now that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has begun sending out final tiering letters to begin the next phase of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) regulation and has finalized the Risk-Based Performance Standards (RBPS) guidance and accompanying Site Security Plan (SSP) tool, it is time to get ready for the next and most critical stage of compliance.

AcuTech announced today that they are holding two training sessions for industry to provide step-by-step training on how to prepare and submit a CSAT SSP and develop a practical, cost-effective, real world compliance program for CFATS. The seminar is designed to help individuals understand the intent of CFATS from a technical perspective to allow sites to organize, strategize, plan and confidently submit an SSP. The goal is to get an approved SSP on the first sumbittal with minimal impact, to have a practical CFATS comliance program, while minimizing corporate risk to terrorism.

The CFATS SSP Workshop will be held at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront Hotel on the afternoon of July 1 and the morning of July 2. The training session will be repeated on July 7 in Houston.
